Terms & Engagement

Scope of Coaching

 

Coaching focuses on:

• emotional regulation

• behavioural stability

• habit and routine development

• workplace readiness

• accountability and skill-building

If a client requires clinical, medical, or mental-health services, we will recommend referral to an appropriate professional.

Service Agreement

 

All coaching is governed by a Coaching Services Agreement and a Consent & Privacy Agreement that outline:

• service scope

• confidentiality limits

• data handling practices

• cancellation and refund terms

• employer-specific provisions (if applicable)

Clients (or employer representatives) must review and sign these before services begin.

Confidentiality & Privacy

 

We are committed to protecting client confidentiality. All personal information is handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.

Information is never shared with third parties without written consent, except where required by law, including:

• risk of harm to self or others

• legal orders, subpoenas, or statutory requirements

Communication & Boundaries

 

Coaching sessions may be delivered in person or virtually via Google Meet.

Between sessions, communication is limited to brief scheduling messages or check-ins.
Coaching does not include emergency or crisis response.
For emergencies, clients must contact 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Fees & Payment

• Coaching fees are outlined in your signed Service Agreement.

• Payment is due at booking unless otherwise arranged.

• Late cancellations or missed sessions may be billed in full.

• Employer contracts may include alternative invoicing terms and pilot-phase deliverables.

Refunds & Cancellations

 

Refunds are available only if services have not yet begun and the request is made within 7 days of purchase.

After a program or session has started, unused sessions are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in your Service Agreement.

Data Collection & Reporting (Employer Clients)

 

For organizational programs, we may provide aggregate, non-identifying data such as:

• attendance trends

• engagement patterns

• readiness indicators

• behavioural or emotional stability trends

Individual names, session details, or identifying information are never shared with employers.

Professional Standards

 

Bet On You adheres to ethical standards consistent with nationally recognized recovery coaching bodies, including:

• Recovery Coaches Canada (RCC)

• Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation  (CACCF)

• Arizona Trauma Institute

This includes commitments to confidentiality, client autonomy, professionalism, and cultural respect.

Professional Liability & Insurance

 

Bet On You maintains appropriate professional liability and general liability insurance for non-clinical coaching services in British Columbia.

Employer clients may request a certificate of insurance for vendor registration or compliance purposes.

We are not a regulated health service; insurance coverage applies to coaching services only.

Limitation of Liability

 

Clients understand that coaching outcomes depend on individual effort, personal circumstances, and external factors.
Bet On You Recovery & Trauma Coaching is not responsible for decisions or actions taken based on coaching sessions or materials.

Governing Law

 

These Terms & Engagement are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
